What is Massage Therapy?

Massage Therapy is a hands-on therapy that manipulates the body's muscular and soft tissue structure through a variety of techniques that help to increase range of motion and flexibility, reduce stress and pain, improve circulation, and support overall well-being. Your massage can be done on a table or chair.

What is Thai Massage?

Many consider Thai to be assisted yoga. The practitioner physically guides the client through a series of relaxing stretches, allowing the body to receive relaxing yogic benefits. Stretch is then combined with compression on different points of the body to facilitate the release of emotional, physical and energetic tensions.

Benefits of Massage Therapy and Thai Massage:

·         Increases flexibility

·         Builds and tones muscles

·         Decreases inflammation

·         Relieves stress and tension

·         Balances physical structure

·         Improves quality of sleep

·         Brings a sense of wellbeing

·         Increases joint mobility

·         Brings elasticity back to our bodies that is lost to injury, age and stress.

What is Sports Massage?

Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

But you don't have to be in the Olympics to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. Your massage will generally concentrate on a specific problem area. (Sore neck and shoulders, anyone?)

What is Pregnancy Massage?

Gentle and nurturing this pregnancy massage focuses on the needs of the mother. Massage can relieve the discomforts associated with pregnancy, by increasing the mother’s awareness of her areas of tension and allowing for release. Massage enhances the relaxation experience and is an important practice before the birth experience.

What is Postpartum Massage?

Massage in the postpartum period helps bring the body into its pre-pregnancy alignment. A massage within the first week postpartum feels wonderful. It flushes lactic acid out of the tissues relieving sore and achy muscles.

The benefits of postpartum massage:
